Overview
Title of Study: Adapting and implementing the Action Falls programme for domiciliary care: A focus on rural and coastal communities.
We are looking to recruit a Research Assistant with a profile in health and/or social care and some experience in qualitative research methods to join our University-wide multidisciplinary Healthy Ageing Research Group (HARG), based in the School of Health and Care Sciences, and the Lincoln Institute for Rural and Coastal Health (LIRCH).
The University is committed to developing its profile as a research-intensive institution, with significant investment in research. LIRCH is a national development supported by £10.9 million UKRI Research England E3 grant, highlighting our world-class, impactful research focused on improving health outcomes for populations facing health disparities.
We are collaborating with the University of Nottingham on a large research grant to adapt and implement a falls prevention programme for older people in their homes in rural and coastal communities, where health inequalities are common.
Mentorship and support will be available within our welcoming team to support your post, and you will have the opportunity to register for a PhD if you do not already hold one.
