Are you an enthusiastic and passionate Fitness Instructor that can lead group classes and provide one-on-one training sessions? We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Fitness Instructor to join our team based in the Sports Centre situated at Brayford Pool Campus, in a full-time, 37 hours per week role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of customers during their use of the centre and gym, including teaching and instructing members as required.
  • Undertaking fitness assessments, fitness classes, gym programmes, induction sessions and personal training.
  • Carry out safety checks on all apparatus and equipment and ensure the facility is cleaned, prepared and maintained to an excellent level, with sports equipment set ups and derig and reception cover as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Qualified to at least a Level 2 Fitness Instructor, ideally Level Personal Trainer.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others improve their health and well-being.
  • Flexible, reliable, able to work to set targets and enjoy working as part of a team.

Working Pattern

The role will include mornings starting at 05:45, evenings finishing at 23:15 and weekend work.

Salary and Benefits

The University offers a generous benefits package including:

  • Salary: £24,685 per annum
  • Annual leave allowance of 30 days per year pro rata (plus an additional 14 bank holidays and concessionary days)

Please note this post requires an Enhanced DBS check. This post is permanent and full-time at 37 hours per week.
