We are looking to appoint 5 new Accommodation Facilities Officers due to large growth in directly controlled student accommodation. These positions are permanent and full-time at 37 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with provision of minor maintenance works including general maintenance, decorating, compliance, grounds maintenance and similar tasks.
- Prepare premises and rooms for occupation as required.
- Respond to fire alarms, deliver mobile response service, perform manual handling and work at heights.
- Move between accommodation sites in a team van, requiring a full driving licence.
- Work flexible hours to accommodate overnight and weekend work, typically 3 to 5 days a week from 7 pm, with day and night shift patterns.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in maintenance environments with technical knowledge (property/facility maintenance).
- Literacy and numeracy skills gained from general education or equivalent experience.
- Effective administration skills and ability to use IT software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or equivalents.
- Ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to continual service improvement focused on the student experience.
- Enthusiastic, flexible team member able to work under pressure to tight timescales.
- A full driving licence (for team van travel).
