Duties include:
- Supporting the development of self-help skills, teaching and learning, resource preparation and social learning activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support children with a range of complex needs.
- Celebrate the achievements of the children.
- Prepare resources as requested by classroom staff.
- Be aware of your responsibilities in line with school policies, including safeguarding, health and safety and communication policies.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with the academy's expectations.
- Work as part of a whole-school team to ensure that the children throughout school are given every opportunity to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues and children.
- Use ICT resources to support pupils' learning.
- Have a caring, encouraging and positive attitude towards your tasks.
- Support the children during educational visits off-site, applying strategies to support and encourage the development of independent learners.
- Adapt communication strategies for the audience and context.

Qualifications and requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
- Functional Skills in English and maths if required, GCSE in English (grade 4) and Maths (grade 4).
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
