Teaching Fellow in Accounting & Finance - 2 positions available

As a Teaching Fellow in Accounting & Finance, you will undertake a wide range of teaching and student support activities, including delivering lectures and seminars, supervising students, providing assessment and feedback, and supporting online learning. You will take responsibility for the design and quality of modules, contribute to the development of teaching materials and methods, and ensure students receive an engaging and supportive learning experience. You will also help coordinate assessment activities, respond constructively to student feedback and maintain current knowledge of developments in accounting and finance to support teaching within a research-led environment.

Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will contribute to the wider life of the School through participation in meetings, committees and professional development activities. Working closely with module and programme leaders, you will support the effective organisation of teaching resources and play an active role in maintaining the high standards of the School of Business.

You will hold a PhD in a relevant subject area, or possess equivalent professional qualifications and experience, and will have either obtained or be working towards a recognised teaching qualification. You will be able to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively, design and deliver course materials, and inspire students to achieve their academic potential. Experience of delivering high-quality teaching in higher education, including distance learning, would be advantageous.

You will demonstrate strong subject knowledge in accounting, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding learning experience. You will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, have strong IT skills, and be able to contribute positively to teaching-related activities across the School. Above all, you will be motivated to support student success and contribute to the continued development of accounting education at the University of Leicester.
