About the role

The University of Leicester is a world-renowned institution committed to providing a supportive, inclusive environment that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and personal growth. As part of our drive to offer diverse and flexible learning opportunities, we are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join the Global Partnerships Team as an Apprenticeship Officer. In this role, you will be key to the delivery and growth of our apprenticeship programmes, working closely with students, employers, and academic staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience for all. The role will focus on the compliance of data and the ILR return.

As an Apprenticeship Officer, you will support the development, administration, and management of apprenticeship programmes at the University of Leicester. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including academic departments, careers services, and external employers, to deliver an exceptional apprenticeship experience that supports both the educational and professional needs of apprentices. We are looking for a candidate with knowledge of the data management (ILR) systems and processes.

About you

You will bring substantial experience in apprenticeship administration, with a strong understanding of current UK apprenticeship legislation, DfE funding rules, and compliance requirements. Your background will include accurate data input, record-keeping, and managing ILR submissions. You will be confident working independently, prioritising tasks, and meeting tight deadlines, while also collaborating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including students, employers, and academic staff.

Your communication skills will be key to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong relationships across the university and with external partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential, and familiarity with university systems such as SITS and CMIS would be advantageous. Above all, you will embody the University’s values of inclusivity, inspiration, and impact, contributing to a diverse and forward-thinking workplace.
