We provide support for over 500 student leaders by offering training opportunities and comprehensive advice, guidance and insight. We seek to empower them to support students and/or create change to improve the experience of students across the University.

We are looking to recruit a student staff member to help us achieve these aims by:

  • Supporting the operation of the Students’ Union Democratic Structures, including the Leicester 100, Councils, Ideas System whilst helping the Executive Officers and Part-Time Officers in the projects they are working on.
  • Helping with the delivery of engagement activities such as stalls/Freshers Fair, Student Leaders Conference, Academic Rep Briefings and attending Student Staff Committees.
  • Supporting the implementation of our new Knowledge Bank, a project that is seeking to bring together student feedback into one place.

In addition, as a Student Staff member within the Union, you will on an ad-hoc basis be invited to help out with additional Students’ Union Projects, which may include covering the Students’ Union Reception Desk.

We are seeking individuals with exceptional communication and administration skills who have a keen eye for detail. You will ideally have a good knowledge of representational structures and be able to effectively liaise with a wide variety of students.
