Overview
Teaching Fellow role at the University of Leicester School of Psychology and Vision Sciences. The School is seeking a Teaching Fellow in Psychology, specialising in individual differences. This is a full-time, fixed-term post running for 48 months and offers the opportunity to contribute to the Schoolβs teaching excellence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across psychology, with a particular focus on individual differences, including lectures, seminars and lab sessions.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research for students on our Masters programmes.
- Contribute to course reviews and support the School\’s teaching quality assurance processes.
- Develop and apply innovative teaching methods, design course materials, and ensure the curriculum remains relevant and engaging for campus-based and distance learning students.
- Support student development, providing personal and pastoral care in line with university guidelines.
About You
- PhD (or equivalent) in Psychology, or near completion.
- Experience in teaching psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a proven ability to design and deliver course materials.
- Particular experience in the area of individual differences.
- Strong commitment to student-centred learning and accessibility; ability to teach a broad range of psychology topics.
- Proficiency with virtual learning environments (e.g., Blackboard) and excellent communication and organisational skills.
