Overview

We are delighted to invite applications for a Lecturer (Teaching Focussed) to join our School of Psychology & Vision Sciences (SPVS), contributing to our innovative dual award programme delivered in partnership with Chongqing Medical University (CQMU), China. This unique opportunity involves teaching on both the BSc Psychology (University of Leicester) and BSc Psychiatry (CQMU) programmes.

As part of our flying faculty team, you will travel to China for approximately 10–12 weeks per year (in 3–4 week blocks) to deliver high-quality teaching. You will lead and co-deliver up to four modules and contribute to teaching development or student support initiatives within SPVS.

You will be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering research-inspired education and pedagogical excellence. There are opportunities to engage in pedagogical research and contribute to curriculum innovation across the University and CQMU.

About You

You will hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Psychology or a related discipline and have a strong track record of high-quality teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate level. Experience in developing teaching materials, supervising student research, and working in international or cross-cultural settings is highly desirable.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise aligned to our research groups in Health and Wellbeing (with Ageing) and Vision Sciences, and those who are committed to inclusive and student-centred learning.
