About The Role

As a Back End Developer, you will work alongside a multi-skilled Digital Engagement team with expertise in:

  1. Front end development
  2. UX and UI design
  3. Data analysis
  4. CMS governance
  5. CMS administration

You will be expected to drive continuous improvement of our current CMS, ensuring an excellent user experience is at the centre of all development work, and support a project to deliver a new CMS.

You will contribute to robust and reliable solutions and act as the team’s subject matter expert. This includes knowledge transfer and collaboration with Digital Services and Marketing and Communications colleagues. Your role influences how the University meets its digital challenges and opportunities, impacting how students and staff use digital services.

About You

You should be degree educated or possess equivalent experience or qualifications, with knowledge and experience across a broad range of technologies, including:

  • Substantial experience with the .NET framework
  • Continuous integration approaches and tools
  • Solution development
  • Service-oriented architecture
  • Application lifecycle management
  • Agile software development
