Student Experience Events and Activities Assistant

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

As Student Experience Events and Activities Assistant, you will help provide services and activities that support international students to make a successful transition to life at Leeds. You will also contribute to activities which help all students feel welcome and benefit from being part of our global campus community. You will provide high quality administrative and operational support for our International Airport pick-up service, and our welcome and community-building activities for all students.
We are looking for an organised, proactive, customer-focussed individual who can relate to our diverse student community to be part of our team. You will be enthusiastic about supporting student education activity and be adaptable and flexible. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a high level of professionalism; with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and external partners and assist with the supervision of a team of student ambassadors. You will also need to be able to work under pressure and carry out tasks with competing deadlines.
This role requires some out of hours working. This will include early shifts, late shifts and weekend working, with the potential for up to 10 consecutive days during the arrivals and welcome period in September; shorter periods of working these hours during the January and Summer arrival and welcome periods; and evening working on a rota basis on Mondays and for some other events during the year.
