Overview
This is a Fixed Term post, required to complete a specific task or time limited work, including the need for specific expertise or additional resource for a project. This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Role and Responsibilities
- Write clear and concise content for websites and email, and use knowledge and experience to support and shape the development of student recruitment marketing.
- Structure, edit and tailor content for differing audience needs and maximise copy for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) advantage.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure course pages and other related areas of the site reflect the needs of prospective students.
- Apply an understanding of web analytics to develop and monitor the impact of website content and support refinements for the sites; regularly review site analytics and inform editorial decisions with market insights.
- Demonstrate strong proofreading skills and be comfortable making editorial decisions on content structure and priorities.
- Work independently, manage priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
- Collaborate in a matrix team, sharing resources with other marketing colleagues; adapt to changing strategic focus and opportunities.
- Note: there may be a requirement for occasional weekend and/or evening working.
- Support key targets and metrics around learner numbers, campaign performance, brand and reputation measures, and income generation.
- Other reasonable duties may be required consistent with the grade of the post.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong proofreading skills with the ability to make editorial decisions on content structure and priorities.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with SEO and web analytics to inform editorial decisions and measure impact.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively in a matrix team.
