This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. An experienced procurement professional in the Facility Management (Hard) or Construction industry, with excellent communication and organisational skills, is invited to join a small customer focused Category Management team.

As a Senior Category Officer (Facility Management (Hard)/Construction) within the University’s Procurement Service, you will lead on and take day-to-day responsibility for a range of category activities, delivering value for money across goods and services within your allocated category. You will manage relationships with senior managers, internal stakeholders and key suppliers, supporting the Facilities Directorate which incorporates maintenance and development of the University Estate, Commercial and Campus Support Services, Residences and Sustainability Services.

Use your in-depth Facility Management (Hard) or Construction knowledge and excellent communication and collaboration skills to support stakeholders in compliantly achieving best value for money in all procurement activity.
