Overview
The University of Leeds are seeking an experienced catering professional to work across our portfolio of 13 catering outlets / cafes on the University campus. Providing customers with excellent service and quality fresh food and drink is at the heart of what we strive to achieve in our Catering & Hospitality Services Team. Working in conjunction with the Senior Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring an effective and efficient campus service is delivered to students, staff and visitors in line with the department’s strategy and goals. You will have line management responsibility for managing a small team of Catering Assistants and Senior Catering Assistants and be responsible for ensuring that Catering Services units operate effectively and ensuring that customer needs and brand standards are met and are adhered to at all times.
Responsibilities
This role is full time and is required to work 35 hours each week and is normally worked 5 days over 7. You may be required to work rotated weekends, and in addition work between the hours of 7am to 10pm, but full flexibility will be required. Please note that the above weekly hours and times of work will vary throughout the year for this post and will require some flexibility in order to meet the needs of the business. Although you will be based at one of our designated cafes located on campus, you may also be required to work at any of our other cafes, catering outlets or to support hospitality and event food and beverage delivery as and when required.
