As Operations and Events Assistant, you will help provide services and activities that support international students to feel welcome and make a successful transition to life at Leeds. You will also contribute to activities which help all students to benefit from being part of our global campus community. You will provide high quality administrative and operational support for our welcome and community-building activities, our team operations, and other events and initiatives.
We are looking for an organised, proactive, customer-focussed individual who can relate to our diverse student community to be part of our team. You will be enthusiastic about supporting student education activity and be adaptable and flexible. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a high level of professionalism; with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and external partners and assist with the supervision of a team of student ambassadors. You will also need to be able to work under pressure and carry out tasks with competing deadlines.
This role will require some out-of-hours work during the year, and during the main 3-week arrival period in September. Shorter periods of working adjusted hours may also be required during arrival periods in January and June/July.
