We are seeking a motivated and proactive Music Technician who will have responsibility for supporting academic staff, and students to make best use of facilities and equipment within the School of Music.

With hands-on experience of sound recording and live performance environments you will work collaboratively with different groups of staff and team members within the School, as well as colleagues from the wider University and external partners to support the smooth delivery of music related activities in the School.

Within the role, you will provide technical support for initiatives linked to the University’s Digital Transformation strategy, and for new and innovative ways of working in music psychology, music technology and composition that will complement established blended learning practices.

With a focus on technology, working digitally, and a commitment to seek development and learning opportunities, you will share good practice and encourage knowledge exchange between colleagues to facilitate continuous improvement.

You will have excellent communication skills and the enthusiasm to deliver an exceptional student and staff experience. You will be well organised, with excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to work. You will be able to multi-task and effectively prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines.
