The School of History is seeking to employ an individual who is passionate about inspiring and supporting our students with research led teaching. We are looking for an individual who can teach across a wide range of modules across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with the expertise to teach both specialist modules in British colonial and South Asian history, and other modules across our BA History and postgraduate degrees.

The successful candidate will be responsible for convening and teaching:

  • HIST3392 Eastern Subjects: British Attitudes to India 1757-1857
  • HIST2315 Mughals, Merchants and Mercenaries: ‘Company Raj’ in India 1600-1857
  • HIST3100 Colonial Bodies: Life and Death in British India, 1757-1900

and seminar teaching in history more broadly such as:

  • HIST1510 Global Empires
  • HIST2025: History in Practice

The successful candidate would also supervise undergraduate dissertations/final year projects.
