Overview

This role is available to current full time University of Leeds students only. The role will be based on the University campus with scope for a hybrid arrangement. Flexible working arrangements are also welcome. The role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Are you a current University of Leeds student with an interest in communications? Would you like to gain valuable experience of working as part of a dynamic team? You will contribute to the LITE team through supporting our current communications strategy. LITE carries out its own Pedagogical Research and supports colleagues across the University to conduct Pedagogical Research to improve the student experience. The communications strategy serves to highlight the important work that LITE staff are undertaking and to showcase the research we are supporting. The role will involve working with the LITE Communications Officer to communicate our work internally and externally.

As a student representative within the LITE team, you will input and provide advice, offering the student perspective, on projects and initiatives run by LITE. You will have a good understanding of the range of disciplines across the University and will be able to identify and consider the needs of different learning communities.

Location/Working Arrangements: Based on campus with hybrid options and flexible arrangements available.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the LITE communications strategy and communicate work internally and externally in collaboration with the LITE Communications Officer.
  • Act as a student representative within the LITE team, providing input and advice on projects and initiatives from the student perspective.
  • Understand the range of disciplines across the University and identify the needs of different learning communities.

  • Current full-time University of Leeds student.
  • Interest in communications and a desire to gain experience in a dynamic team.
  • Ability to consider the needs of diverse learning communities.
