This fixed term work-based placement of 12 months is open to current undergraduate students at the University of Leeds only. This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you passionate about the student experience? Are you a well organised and adaptable individual? Do you have strong organisational and administrative skills? This placement offers a unique opportunity to lead a project exploring the student experience across the University and contribute directly to the University’s submission to the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), the UK’s national evaluation of excellence in teaching and student outcomes.

Working in the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Team you will lead, develop and draft a report on the student experience at Leeds, identifying the issues that matter most to students. You will help to create a framework from which future reports may be developed. To achieve this, you will work closely with the teams that have responsibility for Student Voices at the University and will liaise with Leeds University Union and current students in the production of the report. Your work will help ensure that the perspectives of different student communities are represented and will directly influence how the University demonstrates the quality of education and student experience at Leeds.

You will be a current undergraduate student at the University of Leeds who is looking for a year opportunity as part of your degree. You will have excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively as part of a team. You will have a good understanding of the range of disciplines across the University and will be able to identify and consider the needs of different learning communities. This is a rare opportunity to help shape how the University listens to and represents the student voice at a national level.

This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
