Interviews are expected to be held on Friday 20th March 2026. This role will be based at Leeds - Weetwood Pavilion. With over £15 million invested over the past decade, the University of Leeds has established one of the leading outdoor sports facility provisions in the UK. Delivered across two dedicated Sports Parks—Weetwood and Bodington—these world-class environments support student sport, elite performance, and extensive community engagement.

Both Sports Park Weetwood and Sports Park Bodington offer outstanding outdoor facilities, including high-quality grass and 3G football pitches, rugby facilities with a dedicated spectator stand and bar, two international-standard water-based hockey pitches, a county-standard cricket ground with a traditional pavilion and the UK’s first purpose-built triathlon training centre. Together, these facilities support the University’s Leeds Gryphons sports clubs and are widely used by local sports clubs, National Governing Bodies, and professional sports teams, reinforcing the University of Leeds’ reputation as a centre of sporting excellence.

Responsible to the Facility Manager, you will contribute to the management of the day-to-day operation of the outdoor sport facilities and assist with the supervision of operational staff on shift. You will ensure that excellent customer service is provided to all customers and visitors and that the facilities remain safe, clean, and well maintained at all times.

You will have proven experience working in a sport or leisure facility in a supervisory capacity, with experience of monitoring and maintaining high standards in facility presentation and customer service. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will hold a relevant first aid qualification and food hygiene certificate, or have the ability to qualify within an agreed period of time.

We have full-time and part-time roles available:

  • Role 1 – Full Time (35hrs per week) – This role will work on a 5 over 7 basis and will include requirements for you to work early mornings (8am start), evenings (10.30pm finish), weekends, University closure days.
