Interviews are expected to be held week commencing 22 June 2026. This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

We are looking for a Senior Portfolio Analyst to join the IT Programme Management Office, which is responsible for overseeing delivery of a diverse portfolio of IT projects for one of the biggest Universities in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the success of project and programme teams in adherence to a standardised project management methodology and in providing robust management information and governance oversight across a complex portfolio of IT projects.
  • You will play a key role in helping IT Services establish a consistent and effective way of completing projects and be responsible for reviewing and assessing baseline plans and maintaining quality controls for project stage gates.
  • You will provide expert advice and guidance to Programme, Project Managers and Project Co‑ordinators in relation to financial information, planning, risks and issues, dependencies and the University’s project management framework.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining and reporting on a range of project related management information, producing accurate and relevant reports suitable for a range of audiences up to board level including development of innovative management information reports.
  • You will co‑ordinate the capture of information to support resource and capacity planning within and across programmes and projects, and be able to provide portfolio level management information and status reporting.
