Open to current University of Leeds employees only. Grade 6 (£33,951 - £39,906 p.a. depending on experience). This role is campus based, 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day‑to‑day running of tissue culture and microbiological facilities across the school sites, including upkeep, user inductions, equipment and safety systems management.
- Act as technical lead for human studies across the school, supporting protocol set‑up and induction for working within human study areas, managing facilities, and serving as the primary contact for storage, carriage and shipment of biological substances internal and external to the University.
- Design and support protocols carrying out biological and molecular biology analyses of different biological samples.
- Serve as the School Biological Safety Officer, providing advice and support on all matters relating to the use of biological agents within the school.
Qualifications
- Experience in a research or teaching laboratory environment, particularly in CL2 lab spaces.
- Excellent organisational skills.
