This role is open to current employees in Finance at the University of Leeds only.

Do you have an interest in providing research support to a vibrant, cross-disciplinary research Faculty? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people? Are you numerate, have experience in a research or finance administrative environment and ideally have a working knowledge of full economic costing?

As a member of the Faculty Research Office you will provide high quality, customer focused research support contributing to the strategic objectives and research culture of the Faculty. You will take responsibility for assisting with the submission of research grant applications. This will include providing advice and guidance on funding opportunities, including undertaking bespoke searches; promoting opportunities; and supporting researchers within the Faculty in the grant application process.

With demonstrable experience in a research or finance administrative role, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of people. Along with excellent numeracy, organisational and time management skills, you will have a proactive and positive approach to activities and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Experience of funding body terms and audit requirements and the funding landscape for Arts & Humanities are desirable.

This vacancy is within the Finance Service, but it is based in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures. However, should the business need arise, and after full consultation with you, you may be deployed elsewhere within Finance Service.

Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first‑time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions.
