Role split - 60% Research Support Administrator (Pre-Award)/40% Assistant Management Accountant.

Are you hard working with an eye for detail and keen to work in both research and faculty finance? Do you have experience working in a busy office environment ideally in a research support or a finance role? Do you want to join a team that is committed to supporting the strategic objectives and research culture of the Faculty of Environment? Do you have some experience of management accounting, financial planning and budget preparation?

The split role offers an excellent development opportunity for those wishing to expand their skillset within the overall finance function.

  • For 60% of your time, you will provide high quality, customer focussed pre‑award research support to our Faculty Research Office (FRO). You will work closely with the Senior Research Administrator (Pre‑Award) and Principal Investigators to support costings and set‑up of projects whilst following University and Funders' rules and regulations to provide support to the faculty's academic community.
  • For 40% of your time, you will work within the faculty finance team, supporting the work of the two new Futures Institutes including planning, forecasting and reporting as well as analysing data trends and investigating variances.

This role sits within the Finance Service and is based in the Faculty of Environment. However, should the business need arise, and after full consultation with you, you may be deployed elsewhere within Finance Service.
