The BESS+ Research Ethics Committee covers the Faculties of Business, Environment and Social Sciences. The role of the Deputy Chair is open to applications from academic members of staff employed by the University within one of these faculties.

The Deputy Chair will be an experienced academic who can deputise for the Chair when necessary. The role is available on a 0.15 fte basis, from 1 February 2026 and is fixed term for two years. The role requires the agreement of the relevant Head of School and Executive Dean and the successful candidate will be bought out on their existing grade and salary level.

Administrative and professional support from the Secretariat will be provided.
