This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

This is a challenging role requiring an energetic and self-motivated individual with a background in managing and commercialising early stage intellectual property (IP). You will have an educational and industrial background in a life science, physical science or engineering discipline and demonstrable competencies in technology-related project management and opportunity development.

Working closely with other members of the Commercialisation Team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s IP licensing strategy and support the achievement of ambitious performance targets. You will have extensive experience of partnership building and managing industry focused co-development activities, bringing strong negotiation, analytical, planning and implementation skills to drive licensing opportunities that generate impact and financial returns for the University.

Essential to this role is demonstrating initiative, a flexible approach and building effective commercial relationships between internal and external stakeholders. You will use your sound commercial opportunity assessment experience, robust project management skills and experience of technology-led innovation to deliver successful outcomes.
