The School of Computing at the University of Leeds is a highly ranked academic department with a vibrant research culture and a commitment to excellence in teaching. We are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Distributed Systems (analogous to tenure track Assistant Professor) to join our internationally recognized Distributed Computing Systems and System Engineering activity.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to pursue interdisciplinary research, collaborating with extensive distributed systems activity in Leeds and beyond. We seek candidates with a proven research record in Distributed Systems, evidence of interdisciplinary work, and the ability to teach broadly in Computer Science at a research-intensive Russell Group University.
The ideal candidate will work in distributed computing systems and related areas such as software engineering and intelligent systems. You will have the chance to grow professionally and contribute to a dynamic, diverse, and inclusive environment, enhancing knowledge, innovation, education, student experience, and the University's reputation with a focus on quality and excellence.
We have a vibrant community of postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers supported by significant external research funding. Our core partnerships include major initiatives like the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics, Robotics Leeds, and the Centre for HealthTech Innovation, as well as national centers such as the Alan Turing Institute.
