Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation

* INTERNAL VACANCY – This opportunity is only open to academics / clinical academics employed at the University of Leeds *

The Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation will play a key leadership role, working closely with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor to support the delivery of the University’s Research and Innovation Strategy. You will provide leadership on specific portfolio areas, as agreed with the PVCRI, which may include research excellence, impact, business engagement, knowledge exchange, civic engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

As a senior strategic leader, you will help shape and embed priorities that enhance research quality, impact, income, and innovation. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the research community, centres and institutes, professional services, and external partners to support our shared ambition to be a globally leading research-intensive university delivering meaningful social, economic and cultural benefits locally, nationally, and internationally.

This role calls for inclusive and inspirational leadership, strategic insight and a collaborative approach to ensure alignment of priorities and opportunities across the University and with our external stakeholders to foster innovation, advancing research performance, and supporting the delivery of excellence across our portfolio.
