This role is open to staff within the Communicatios & Engagement team
This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you a communicator with experience in delivering engaging live digital and in-person events? Do you have the ability to create, edit and manage compelling content for communication campaigns? Do you have attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex information? Are you looking to develop your communications career in a collaborative University environnement? We are looking for a communications professional to join the University’s Communications and Engagement team to support our strategic events objectives.
The Communications and Engagement team helps staff and students to understand and engage in our strategic ambitions and key issues, and provides the information they need to thrive within our diverse community of more than 10,000 staff and 39,000 students.
You will have evidence of your ability to contribute engaging, creative content to a range of dynamic event, campaigns and communication channels. You will need excellent organising, facilitating, writing, editing and stakeholder liaison skills and an ability to simplify complex information, while being sensitive to the relevant context.
You must be able to work flexibly and independently, while meeting deadlines and, ideally, have an appreciation of the internal communication challenges a university faces.
This role reports to the Community Campaigns Manager and will involve both remote and on-campus working. The role has no current direct line management responsibilities but the role holder will task manage colleagues on a project basis.
