This role is open to Leeds University employees only.

There are two Business Support roles available in the Faculty of Medicine and Health

– the School of Healthcare and

– the Leeds Institute of Medical Education (LIME)

These roles will be based on the University campus, with scope for them to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements

Do you have experience of working within a fast-paced administrative environment? Are you an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent administrative and organisational skills? Would you like to play a pivotal role supporting the delivery of high-quality research and student education activities?

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Business Operations Officer. You will join the team to provide high quality administrative support to the School’s processes in recruitment, purchasing, HR and health and safety. This role will have a particular focus on providing support for senior staff and ensuring HR queries and processes are managed correctly.

You will also be responsible for managing the School’s IT databases including updating Teams and SharePoint sites, taking responsibility for raising IT issues and being the point of contact for the school for IT projects; organising and booking complex UK and overseas travel and accommodation plans and supporting delivery of trips with things such as equipment, itineraries and visas.

You will work with other colleagues within the Business Operations Teams and from Professional Services across the School and Faculty, including HR, Purchasing and Finance Offices, to adopt and embed a continuous improvement and service excellence approach. This will involve establishing and developing best practice processes & procedures and working to ensure these are implemented through Faculty peer networks. You will be expected to handle confidential information in a discreet, sensitive and diplomatic manner, ensuring security of access to such information is maintained at all times.

· 26 days holiday plus approx.16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) – that’s 42 days a year!
