Business Operations Officer
Do you have experience of working within a fast-paced administrative environment? Are you an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent administrative and organisational skills? Would you like to play a pivotal role supporting the delivery of high-quality research and student education activities?
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Business Operations Officer to support the School of Dentistry. You will join the team to provide high quality administrative support to the School’s processes in recruitment, purchasing, HR and health and safety. This role will have a particular focus on providing support for senior staff. You will also be responsible for organising and booking complex UK and overseas travel and accommodation plans and supporting delivery of trips with things such as equipment, itineraries and visas.
You will work with other colleagues within the Business Operations Teams and from Professional Services across the School and Faculty, including HR, Purchasing and Finance Offices, to adopt and embed a continuous improvement and service excellence approach. This will involve establishing and developing best practice processes & procedures and working to ensure these are implemented through Faculty peer networks. You will be expected to handle confidential information in a discreet, sensitive and diplomatic manner, ensuring security of access to such information is maintained at all times.
Reports to: Executive Assistant to the School of Dentistry Dean’s Office, and ultimately to School of Dentistry Business Manager and Faculty Operations Director.
