The Faculty of Medicine and Health is recruiting an Interim Business Operations Manager for the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine based at Chapel Allerton Hospital in Leeds LS7. Please note this is an 18 month interim post open to Leeds University employees only.

This role has scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

As a Business Operations Manager, you will manage the School/Institute Business Operations function, providing professional support to the Head of School/Institute and School/Institute’s Senior Leadership Team. You will take day to day responsibility for the smooth running of administrative matters within the School/Institute.

You will be part of a Faculty team of other School/Institute Business Managers and the Faculty Operations Director, who have responsibility for developing, maintaining and monitoring efficient and effective business systems to support the continuous development and delivery of education and research delivery within the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

You will utilise effective communication, negotiation and organisational skills, to play a key role in motivating teams as well as successfully disseminating information across the School/Institute.

This is both a demanding and rewarding role with competing priorities, requiring effective time and workload management and with the reward of effecting change and enhancing the School/Institute’s delivery of business.
