As Security Officer you can expect to be involved in:
Undertaking security activities to contribute to the consistent delivery of a first‑class security service provided by the University, in order to maintain a safe and secure environment, prevent crime and anti‑social behaviour and keep students, staff, contractors and visitors safe from harm.
Being involved in student and staff engagement activities to further develop security student/staff trust and relationships.
You will be required to work shifts of 08:00‑16:00 or 15:00‑22:30, 4 days working followed by 2 days non‑working, enabling a good work‑life balance.

- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Demonstrable skills in observation, the ability to appraise situations quickly and effectively to make good decisions
- Excellent written communication skills with a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
