Do you enjoy designing engaging online learning and using technology to enhance the student experience?

We’re looking for a Learning Designer to join the Technology Enhanced Learning team on a 0.6FTE, one-year fixed-term contract. Working in partnership with academic staff, you’ll help plan, design and develop high-quality blended and online learning, using learning technologies and student-centred approaches to create effective learning experiences.

As Learning Designer you can expect to be involved in:

  • Working with academic staff to design and develop blended and online learning
  • Creating engaging learning activities and module content using the VLE and digital tools
  • Advising on learning outcomes, activities and resources using learning design theories and methods
  • Supporting innovation, collaboration and the effective use of learning technologies across the University

What will you bring to the role?

  • A first degree or equivalent
  • Experience supporting learning technologies and virtual learning environments in higher education
  • Experience working with academic and professional staff across a range of remits and abilities
  • Experience creating online learning materials using digital media and authoring tools
