Kent and Medway Medical School is seeking a Quality Manager (C&I Workstream) to provide leadership and project management in relation to a programme of consolidation and improvement within KMMS. The consolidation and improvement workstream aims include reviewing all aspects of the BMBS programme to identify opportunities for enhancing educational quality, improving student experience, and achieving efficiencies and resource savings; and to evaluate and optimise all operational processes to ensure the best use of resources. This involves implementing continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency and sustainability through system enhancements, process refinements, resource reallocation, and greater automation, aligning these with operations with the Target Operating Models of both partner institutions.
You will manage the development and implementation of KMMS academic quality and student experience related policy and procedures in conjunction with the Schools Quality Manager and Head of Operations, to secure the quality and standards and the student experience of programmes of study delivered by the Medical School and support KMMS senior academic team in the discharge of their responsibilities for academic quality and standards.
As a Quality Manager (C&I Workstream) you can expect to be involved in:
- Providing leadership in defining the standards for quality control processes and governance systems in the Medical School and with NHS partners, ensuring the quality and standards and the student experience of programmes of study delivered by the Medical School.
- Ensuring that the quality assurance and enhancement at KMMS supports a cycle of continuous improvement.
- Acting as Information Custodian, management of the Information Asset Register, leadership of the Information Governance Joint Service Delivery Team, submission of the NHS Data Protection Security Toolkit.
What will you bring to the role?
- Experience of quality assurance and enhancement issues within a higher education or NHS environment.
- Experience of working with professional and statutory regulatory bodies and other external agencies such as Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education and the General Medical Council.
- Demonstrate experience of leading continuous improvement initiatives, reviewing processes and implementing changes that enhance service quality, efficiency, and stakeholder experience.
