In this role you will drive research and innovation impact as part of the University’s Research & Innovation Operations team. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, analytics and compliance activity to support the University’s research and innovation objectives and minimise regulatory risk.
Overview
As Senior Research & Innovation (R&I) Analyst you can expect to be involved in:
Responsibilities
- Managing, maintaining and developing systems and processes related to the University’s costing and pricing systems
- Lead on TRAC and fEC reporting and compliance, supporting submissions, surveys, audits and project-level costing requirements
- Deliver high-quality research and innovation reporting, including external returns (HE-BCI, HESA, KEF, REF), benchmarking, KPIs and Planning Round reporting
- Develop and improve analytics and reporting tools, including SQL-based datasets and SSRS reports, ensuring data quality and accessible insight for stakeholders
What you will bring
- Strong HE knowledge and proven R&I reporting experience, including external monitoring and compliance requirements
- Excellent data and analysis skills, including practical SQL experience and confidence handling large, complex datasets
- A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage deadlines, communicate clearly, and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
