The center focuses on research in plant breeding and crop production.

The center also supports close collaborative efforts with the U.S. Department of Agriculture—Agricultural Research Service, which focuses on improving potato and small grain germplasm and increasing rainbow trout production efficiency through the use of grain-based feeds. The center also supports the discovery and development of native plants for the horticulture industry. Position Overview This position will perform farming, irrigation, and maintenance duties in support of research related to irrigated potatoes, forage, and grain crops at the Aberdeen R&E Center under the general direction of the Farm Supervisor or other staff as designated by the Superintendent.
