About Us:
The University of Hull has been challenging people to think differently for many years. The People & Organisational Development Directorate provides strategic and operational support to the University community to deliver its strategy. Recently restructured, the Directorate aims to deliver an integrated approach to Human Resource Management and Organisational Development, based on insights, strategy, and solutions. We are investing in our systems, specifically Enterprise Resource Planning.
The HR System & Data Team plays a critical role in maintaining and securing HR systems to ensure our business functions smoothly. The team leads statutory reporting for the University, including the HESA Staff return, and supports wider HESA returns, sector surveys, Subject Access Requests, and Freedom of Information Requests. We provide reports and insights to inform strategic decisions and planning.
About the Role:
In this role, you will work across the Directorate and University to produce insights on topics such as workforce planning, diversity, performance, and talent. You will produce trend analyses and data models to inform future activities.
You will manage routine and planned data requests alongside unplanned and ad hoc stakeholder needs. You will help develop solutions with insights and dashboards and support the team’s development in people analytics.
This is a fixed-term role for 12 months.
About You:
- You have a proven track record of consolidating data from multiple sources, using analysis and insights to inform decision-making, and presenting data accessibly, e.g., using PowerBI.
- You can quickly understand stakeholder needs and analyze different data sets to identify the most relevant data.
- You have working knowledge of GDPR and data compliance to ensure data security.
- You can manage multiple requests with different priorities and deadlines.
- You can manage and empower a team to meet objectives.
- Experience with statutory returns such as Gender Pay Gap or HESA returns is desirable.
