The role:

Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst – 1yr FTC with intention to extend

Background:

The University of Hull is looking for a FP&A Analyst to help drive the strategy and business plans of the Directorate.

The University continues to head on a journey of change, esepcially around its digital infrastructure, currently implementing a new ERP system which will transform the way we operate on a daily basis. This is an exciting time to join whilst we navigate through change and challenge set in the HE sector.

The FP&A Analyst – Transformation Support will play a key role in assisting the FP&A Manager – Transformation with financial analysis, reporting, and process improvements. This role will support the financial transformation agenda by providing high-quality insights, data analysis, and reporting tools to facilitate informed decision-making. The postholder will collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure financial sustainability and business-as-usual (BAU) continuity during transformation initiatives.

We are looking for:

  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant experience in financial planning & analysis
  • Experience in financial reporting, data analysis, or business partnering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial modelling and Excel.
