Job Description

School of Computing & Engineering
£39,710 – £44,524 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Fixed term for 2 years
37 hours per week
Part-time hours of 0.8 FTE (29.6 hours) or above may be considered

The Centre for Precision Technologies (CPT) is one of the Universitys largest research centres with a diverse portfolio of research/commercial projects across a range of funding sources. We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to help our growing team of engineers to deliver real-world research and innovation into the next generation of advanced machinery and metrology.

As Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our groups executive team to deliver our current portfolio of projects and assist with the generation of new opportunities. You will provide dedicated support to researchers in the team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of their projects and on-time submission of clear, concise, deliverable reports and research outputs.

Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, you will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, together with experience of delivering technical projects from inception to closure. You will have a high level of proficiency in the use of engineering management software tools and be able to write clear and succinct technical reports with excellent attention to detail.
