We are now seeking an exceptional Salesforce Solutions Architect to lead the technical direction and architectural integrity of this strategically important platform. This is a unique opportunity to shape a truly end‑to‑end Salesforce environment across CRM, Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Experience Cloud, transforming processes from student recruitment and admissions through to lifelong alumni and fundraising engagement.

In this role, you will:
- Provide expert architectural leadership for Salesforce solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient and aligned with university strategy.
- Design cohesive end‑to‑end journeys across recruitment, student support, academic engagement, communications, alumni relations and more.

- Maintain architectural principles, standards, patterns, decision logs and documentation.
- Guide delivery teams and suppliers, assuring high‑quality configuration, development and solution integrity.
- Shape platform roadmaps, influence investment, and champion the adoption of new Salesforce features and capabilities.
- Support safe change, release and environment management practices.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior leaders and governance groups.
- Line‑manage a team of Application & Development Consultants, Developers and System Administrators—championing talent, wellbeing and professional growth.
About you
You will be an experienced Salesforce Architect with the confidence to lead platform strategy in a large, complex organisation—ideally with familiarity of UK Higher Education. You’ll bring a passion for user‑centred design, data integrity, secure architectures, and delivering digital solutions that have genuine impact.
Essential experience and knowledge:

- Strong understanding of enterprise processes and systems in large organisations.
- Experience managing and developing staff, resources, performance and budgets.
- Outstanding communication and relationship‑building skills, able to influence at all levels.
- Experience working in Higher Education or delivering solutions for academic and administrative services.
