The MBBS Assessment and Student Records Officer will support the delivery of assessment and student administration for the MBBS programme, ensuring processes operate efficiently and in accordance with university regulations and professional body requirements, including those of the General Medical Council (GMC).

Working closely with academic colleagues, professional services teams, and external examiners, they will provide accurate advice and administrative support across the student lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the annual assessment cycle
  • Administering examination processes
  • Maintaining accurate assessment and results data within the university’s student record system
  • Assisting with post-examination reporting and statistical analysis
  • Preparing and servicing Boards of Examiners
  • Monitoring student progression throughout the academic year
  • Ensuring student records are accurately maintained across the full lifecycle
  • Advising students on regulations and complex or sensitive matters
  • Responding promptly to queries via shared inboxes
  • Supporting visa-related documentation
  • Contributing to the monitoring of student engagement and attendance
  • Collaborating within the MBBS administration team to review and improve systems and processes

  • Experience working in a complex administrative environment, ideally within a large organisation
