FTE: 1fte (working 37 hours per week)
Duration of Contract: Fixed Term until May 2027 (Maternity cover)
Salary: UH4 £25,804 pa to £28,778 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: Maclaurin Building, 4 Bishop Square, Hatfield AL10 9NE
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Working closely with colleagues from the Academic Quality team, Academic Schools and External Institutions.
- Providing a high standard of customer service and ensuring that the agreed customer service standards are always adhered to.
- Dealing effectively with all customer enquiries and information requests through multiple contact methods including face-to-face, telephone, IT systems (e.g. email, SMS, Web) and other formats as appropriate.
- Working as part of a front-line team dealing with customer enquiries and information requests.
- Acquiring an understanding of the University’s Policies and Regulations relevant to the area of work.
- Ensuring that effective administrative procedures are practiced and maintained.
Skills and experience required:
- Proven administrative experience and good IT skills, including the use of MS Office and databases.
- Numeracy and literary skills.
- Good understanding of customer care, including a polite, helpful and confident telephone manner.
- Able to collect, process and present data with a methodical approach and attention to detail.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, accurately and under pressure, alongside conflicting priorities.
Qualifications required:
- Minimum of five GCSEs or equivalents, including Mathematics and English at grade C/4 or above, or proven professional work experience.
