Are you ready to lead a team that makes a real difference to students’ lives? At the University of Greenwich, our Student and Academic Services Directorate is looking for a passionate and experienced Student Finance Advice Manager to join our Student Finance and Financial Support Team and lead the Student Finance Advice Team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the delivery of financial advice and support across our campuses, ensuring every student receives the guidance they need to thrive.

In this role, you’ll manage, lead, motivate a dedicated team of advisers and officers, creating a positive and collaborative environment where service excellence and the student is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll oversee the provision of confidential, student-focused financial advice to our students, spanning tuition fees, loans, bursaries, hardship funding, and complex financial casework, while also offering pastoral support to help students navigate personal and financial challenges.

Your work will extend beyond the need to respond to the students in need and into proactive support and interventions be it through outreach activities, events, or digital engagement; you’ll promote financial wellbeing and empower students to make informed decisions.

We’re looking for someone with proven leadership experience, ideally within Higher Education, and a strong understanding of UK student finance systems. You’ll need exceptional communication skills, the ability to interpret complex regulations, and a talent for problem-solving with empathy and sensitivity.

Joining us means becoming part of a university that values inclusivity, collaboration, and impact. You’ll work alongside senior stakeholders to enhance our financial support provision, contribute to strategic initiatives, and help shape the future of student services. In return, we offer a supportive environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to make a tangible difference to thousands of students.

This is a professional and rewarding role that requires flexibility, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel to other campuses for events and outreach. If you’re ready to lead with purpose and passion, we’d love to hear from you.
