The Research Systems Administrator (M34Impact) is a unique opportunity to bridge IT infrastructure and support together with world leading research and enterprise teams at the University of Greenwich.
About the Role
The role sits within the Platforms & Research Systems Team, in the Information & Library Services Directorate (ILS), complementing the existing operations function, specifically for the management of the HPC environment. The role holder will also report to the M34Impact leadership group.
Responsibilities
- Actively support and engage with researchers working as part of the M34Impact expansion programme, helping them get the best out of the University’s High Performance Computing (HPC) environment and maximise research and enterprise outcomes.
- Manage and orchestrate people, products, providers, and processes, driving the implementation of functional enhancements to the HPC.
- Operational and service management processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and agility goals are achieved.
Qualifications
- At least five years’ experience within the Linux system administration field.
- Proficient skills in scripting and automation.
