The Outreach and Educational Partnerships Team within the Marketing and External Relations Directorate is recruiting an Outreach Officer to support our widening participation programmes. The role involves delivering university progression support to prospective students across schools, colleges and community groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver face‑to‑face and digital outreach activities to schools, colleges and community groups, including presentations, academic and transition skills workshops, and subject‑specific projects.
  • Arrange and coordinate events, making all necessary logistical arrangements.
  • Support Open Days, Clearing Operations and other outreach initiatives.
  • Travel throughout the UK, attending events in London, Kent and the Southeast, and occasionally work evenings or weekends as required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide high‑quality customer service.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge of the UK education system, in particular UCAS.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting, delivering presentations to a range of audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong customer‑service and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel and to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
