The role will also include some student-facing activity, particularly where it supports students to engage effectively with employer opportunities.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with employers, alumni, professional bodies and sector partners to generate placement, internship and graduate employment opportunities.
  • Working with employers to create meaningful engagement opportunities, including recruitment activity, networking events, employer panels, mentoring, live projects and sector insight sessions.

  • Supporting students where required to engage with employer opportunities, placement activity and recruitment events.
  • Maintaining accurate employer and partner records to support effective relationship management and reporting.
  • Working collaboratively with placement operations and compliance colleagues to ensure opportunities are appropriate and align with university requirements.

About you:

We are looking for someone with experience of employer engagement, business development, graduate recruitment, careers, placements, account management or external partnership work. You will be confident approaching employers, building professional relationships and identifying opportunities that can benefit students.

You will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills and the confidence to represent the Faculty externally. You will enjoy working with a range of stakeholders and will be able to turn conversations with employers into practical opportunities, events and outcomes.

You may already have experience in higher education, graduate recruitment, careers or employability, but we are also interested in candidates who have built strong employer or sector relationships in other settings. What matters most is your ability to develop partnerships, create opportunities and contribute to improved placement and graduate outcomes.
