Role Overview

We are seeking a creative, proactive Communications Officer to join the Employability & Apprenticeships Directorate. In this varied and high-impact role you will work with colleagues across the University to produce written, visual and digital content that connects with students and graduates, helping them feel informed, supported and inspired to engage with our opportunities. You will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing our digital presence by updating our website and running our LinkedIn and Instagram channels, working alongside and supporting our student staff to bring our activities to life through strong storytelling and campaign content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce engaging, high-quality written, visual and digital content that reflects the University’s tone of voice and brand guidelines.
  • Update and maintain the university website and social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Collaborate with university departments to gather stories and opportunities that support employability and apprenticeship programs.
  • Create and manage storytelling campaigns that showcase the breadth and impact of employability work.
  • Support student staff in content creation and campaign delivery.
