We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Technician within the Faculty of Engineering and Science to provide specialist technical support for teaching and research activities in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chemistry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the student learning experience and supporting a range of research projects.
There will also be opportunities to collaborate with and support the Biosciences Technical Team across a variety of teaching activities.
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of practical teaching sessions for foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate students.
This will include providing technical guidance and demonstrating the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment, techniques, and methodologies relevant to the disciplines.
Responsibilities will encompass all aspects of laboratory preparation and support, including setting up and dismantling practical classes, preparing reagents and materials, maintaining equipment and consumable stock levels, and ensuring laboratories operate efficiently and safely.
The successful candidate will also provide technical advice and support to students and academic staff during laboratory teaching sessions and research activities.
