The Quality Assurance Team safeguards academic standards and supports an excellent student experience. In this significant leadership role you will head the quality assurance aspects of the University’s Curriculum Shape project, overseeing validation and revalidation activities as the University transitions to a new academic framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for validation activity.
- Oversee planning, scheduling and delivery of a large portfolio of validation and revalidation events, ensuring institutional milestones are achieved and risks are managed.
- Offer expert advice and guidance to programme teams, maintaining oversight of the validation pipeline and monitoring progress against project timelines.
- Produce reports for senior leaders and governance groups.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support colleagues involved in validation activity.
- Line-manage the Curriculum Shape Validation Coordinator.
Qualifications & Experience
- Substantial experience of academic quality assurance and validation within higher education.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
